Rapid Outage Response - Nationwide Coverage
Specialist Hydroelectric Repair

As the turbine turns
So do the days of our lives.

HRS specializes in field machining. Including: line boring, embed machining, facing, and custom in-place repairs. When the outage scope grows, our crews can support the full mechanical side of the unit, including disassembly, reassembly, bearing refurbishment, cavitation repair, crack repair, weld overlay, component fabrication, draft tube platforms, alignment, and general turbine repair. From planned outages to mid-project discoveries, HRS brings the crew, tooling, shop support, and field experience needed to keep the mechanical work moving.

Why us

Quiet authority.No theatrics.

We've been in enough powerhouses to know that the people signing the purchase order don't care about slogans. They care that the documentation lines up, the crew shows up, and the unit comes back online. Here's how we deliver on all three.

01 / The custom work

What the big companies won't touch.

Every job is scoped the same way: evaluate the situation, devise the most effective solution, and execute it for the shortest possible downtime. That's the whole philosophy. It's why utilities call us for the tricky parts of an outage their primary vendor won't quote.

Signature work:

Crack - Cavitation - Overlay - Line Boring

02 / The footprint

Forty-five dams and counting.

TVA at Raccoon Mountain, Boone, Chickamauga, Hiwassee, Kentucky, and Watts Bar. USACE at Bonneville, Lower Monumental, Little Goose, West Point, and Harry S. Truman. BC Hydro at G.M. Shrum and Revelstoke. DWR at Oroville. Bath County. Grand Coulee. Ludington. If it generates hydroelectric power, we've likely been inside it.

Major partners:

TVA - USACE - BC Hydro - DWR - PG&E - Alcoa - Duke

03 / The people

Over 30 years of management experience

Our supervisors bring a combined over thirty years of turbine repair experience. The craft labor pool averages 5 years of welding and machining. These are the people who show up on your dam, not a rotating subcontractor, not someone pulled from a labor broker.

Leadership:

Justin Parker - Logan Moudy

Field Operations

Outage-grade
safety.

Hydro powerhouse repair is high-risk, critical-path work. Confined spaces, heavy overhead lifting, stainless steel welding, and high-voltage areas leave no room for error. We do not field rotate subcontractors or uncertified crews. We do not hire from labor brokers. Every member deployed to your dam holds these active, verified certifications.

Hands-on training leadership

All HRS personnel are trained personally by experienced management. Our supervisors oversee hands-on safety checkouts and site-specific hazard reviews before a single crew member steps onto the powerhouse floor.

Careers

The work is hard.
So is the crew.

Specialty welders, machinists, and turbine techs. Travel pay, real benefits, and a shop where the senior crew has names and tenure. If you've been in a unit at 3 a.m. in February, we'd like to talk.
